This could be a bit shocking news for the fans, but it has recently created a ruckus amongst the filmmakers and Actors. This is a shocking move taken by Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce that had made an announcement that ‘no movies will be released across the Telugu states’ theatres!’ This action is a protest against digital service providers, who are charging an exorbitant amount of money for the services.

Adding to the announcement, TFCC further informed that all the new movies’ release will be stalled from March 2018 onwards and all the theatres will be closed.

Informing the media about this tough decision, Muthyala Ramdoss, TFCC’s general secretary said that the film distributors are currently paying approximate Rs. 20,000 per week for the projection of a film. It either should be borne by DSPs or exhibitor.

With the decision, many filmmaker’s new releases will be sacked. The list includes many big budgets and small budget movies, out of which some are Bharath Ane Nenu starring Ram Babu, Naa Peru Surya starring Allu Arjun, etc.

According to the estimates, if this announcement is duly followed, there will be a heavy loss to these to-be-released movies. However, the digital service providers have just ensured that everything will be fine and it is just a miscommunication between them and TFCC.
